Exercising Is Easy

One of the hardest parts of exercise for many people is just getting up of your ass and goin' to the gym, club or whatever.

Hip hop dance is actually a lot of fun to do and you may even find yourself looking forward to doing it! Quite an achievement I know!

The key thing for exercise is that you must do it on a regular basis, and so enjoyment or at least partial enjoyment is important.

When you're in a dance class learning these hip hop moves, in all likelihood you'll probably forget that you're even exercising - it's that fun. In a way the exercise just kinda takes care of itself.

I Need My Exercise Fix

If you're into sport you may find it easy to exercise. Hip hop dance is similar like this in that it is an activity that by its nature is a form of exercise also.

When you do hip hop routines you will do all sorts of moves using all different parts of your body. So what can you expect?

You can expect to become more co-ordinated and get better muscle memory (remembering movements of your body) for a start.

As for fitness benefits it's a great form of cardio, it stretches and strengthens your body as well (especially if there is a longer warmup incorporating strecthing).

It will burn up calories and is a sweaty workout (not a bad thing). And it's always done to music.

For many people this makes the workout more fun. You also get a sense that you're learning something and it's a skill that you can use.

And not to mention that being able to do these hip hop dance moves can give you a lot of confidence in the way you move, on the dancefloor and in general.

There are so many benefits as an exercise form that it's definitely worth a try. And worth trying with different teachers so that you can find find one that you like and is right for you.

The milieu is quite relaxed most of the time and informal, it is not military like (well at least 95% of the teachers aren't).

It is not too hard to find a hip hop class these days either, many dance studios will have one or several that they run.
